SUNDAY
______________________________

It has officially been a week. Just a few more of those and I'm out of here. haha thanks again to all of you who have come to visit, and have sent me goodies. I have decided that I would probably love the hospital if I wasn't forced to stay here. The nurses are great and they get you anything you want. The only problem is I don't feel up to much. Hopefully that will change as my immune system builds up again.
It's kind of boring here, but the doctors say that boring in the hospital is good. I think so too. The most eventful thing that has happened is when my dad fell out of the rocking chair in front of the nurse. I was so drugged up it was hard to stop laughing. Oh, and happy fathers day!!! Sorry for humiliating you on my blog, dad. Thank you to all the dads out there, you are great. I will now retire to my sanctum, I think I will refer to you blog followers as my blogging minions. Thanks for reading :)

  1. Rachel--
We love the blog! We feel very out of the "loop" down here in California--but the blog helps. We missed you in St. George--hopefully we'll get to see you when we drive through on our way to the cabin for the 4th--we'll miss you up there also! Keep that positive attitude and enjoy the little bits of food that actually taste good! You have a LOT of people here in Laguna Beach who are pulling for you! In fact, I have some students who are planning a bonfire and volleyball match at the beach in your honor just as soon as you're able to come down! We love you.

  3. So how bout a joke... A blonde walks into the appliance store and wants to buy a TV. She says to the clerk, "I want to buy this TV". The clerk says, "Sorry, I don't sell TVs to blondes." So, she goes home and dyes her hair black and returns the next day. She says to the salesman, "I want to buy this TV". He says,"sorry, I don't sell to blondes". Frustrated she goes home and dyes her hair red. She returns to the store again the next day. When she walks in, she approaches a different salesman and says,"I'd like to buy this TV please". The salesman looks at her and says, "I don't sell to blondes". The blonde says," How do you know I am a blondes?Did the other salesman tell you not to sell to me?" The salesman says,"no ma am. That Tv you been askin to buy is a microwave". LOL

OK so, maybe a little silly...but I hope it made you smile.

Dallon and the MVHS boys just got back today from Irvine, Ca. They played AWESOME and finished the tourney 4-1! Not too bad! This week they play at BYU. We're hoping it goes as well or even better there!

Chelsey talked to Brian Doyle tonight (the U assistant). During the course of the conversation he asked how you were doing. AFTER singing you praises, she referred him to your blog :P

  7. Hi Rachel We did miss you in St George. We all thought about you and prayed for you. Some had frappe for you. I was hoping to be able to come and see you on Sat after I've been to our youth conference in Manti on Thurs and Fri but I have a cold. The first I've had in about 2 years. I will wait a while and then come. Wish I lived closer so I could just run and see you whenever. Wish you could come to Vernal and I could squirt some whipped cream into your mouth. Try to eat a little all the time so you can be a true Steele Strong. You know we love to eat. Love you lots and pray for you constantly. Love Coreyne

  8. Georgia and Amber SnyderJune 21, 2010 at 10:41 AM

Amber played on UP2 16's this year and attends Lone Peak High. She played with Shelby, MaKayla, and Sydney last year. We were cheering you on during the last match when you won 1st place. You're a good player and strong. That's what's going to help you through this. We just wanted you to know you're in our thoughts and prayers.

  9. Yea...one room can be boring. I thought of it as being on a cruise ship; that seemed to help! I never did get a washcloth-origami animal on my pillow, but I figured them taking care of my "stuff" in the bathroom was compensation enough!!! This next week will be difficult, but then it's all uphill. Keep your eye on the prize!
