Sibling Donor Tests!

AML sometimes requires a bone marrow transplant. The doctors have not yet decided if Rachel will need a bone marrow transplant, but as a standard precaution, Emily and I (Adam) were tested today to see if we are a match, should Rachel need a transplant. It was good to feel like we were doing something to help, and we got to meet a very interesting hospital employee...and a very nice, normal phlebotomist. Fun times. Check out Emily's awesome bracelet and bright orange band-aid.

We'll let everyone know if either of us are a match- cross your fingers!

  2. Hey. Hey. Hey. Just here to give you some comment love. Today, Dallin told his Gma Duncan all about how brave you are! it was really cute. Ellie talks about "Rashl-a" all the time, too (She puts an "a" sound on the end of everything). They pray for you (and so do we) all the time. My mom was telling me how funny you were last year at girls camp...Nacho. I know that everyone there will miss you so much this year! We love you and hope that you aren't feeling too sick!

  4. I sure hope you don't have to get a transplant, but if you do, it would be great if Adam or Emily are a good match. I'm sure my mom told you that my brother in law is recovering from leukemia and a bone marrow transplant. It's a rough road, but he is doing really well.
