Still here

I thought I would post today while I had a little time....haha I have time coming out my ears actually, I just finally am awake and with it enough I guess. Things are going better today, now that I'm not basically being poisoned by high levels of medicine. Ha maybe I am over exaggerating. I look like a cartoon panda bear right now, because the medicine was causing my kidneys to retain fluid... So my eyes are practically swollen shut every morning. They get so I can open them through out the day, but still stay pretty swollen. I am also eating a little today, so we're on our way up. Thank you all so much for following the blog, and for prayers and support. I really can feel the love, and I most definitely can still use it. I am so lucky to have the support system that I do. Thank you and I love you all.

  1. Rachel I have never met you, but I went to MV and my family participated in the run. You are a great example of having a good attitude through hard times. You're great! THanks for the inspiration to be better.

  2. I wish I could push a big hug through this keyboard - I'd love to hug a panda bear! :) You are awesome, still making jokes and making people smile despite the nasty stuff you are dealing with. I'm glad they figured out what was causing the nausea and that things are starting to look up. It's been awhile since we've been up to see you - we'll try to get there soon! Love you, Rach!

  4. hi Rachel! You have never met me, but I love following your blog! I have stage 4 breast cancer and I know some of the struggles your going through. I love your positive attitude and your reality posts on days that aren't so good. Soon enough, your going to be out there again on the volleyball court doing your business!!! I love sports, so I can see why you want to get well enough to play again.
thanks for being an example to me through the internet! Isn't it wonderful that we can connect this way?

  6. I'm glad you can get your eyes open for some of the day! I had a hard time keeping mine open (though for different reasons, you see). Anne and Scott and I all love you. We wish we could come say hello in person.
