Just a quick Post

hey, just thought I would post real quick while I am at home. It is so good to be out of the hospital. I heard a quote that I really liked today, it's by the german poet Goethe, it says

"I have come to the frightening conclusion that I am the decisive element. It is my personal approach that creates the climate. It is my daily mood that makes the weather. I possess tremendous power to make my life miserable or joyous."

I am not always good at keeping a good attitude, but I hope to live by this quote as I continue on. Thank you all for the prayers, they are the best gift I could recieve. Merry Christmas!

Rachel

  3. Merry Christmas! How wonderful that you get to be home! Goethe is one of my favorite poets; so I'm very glad that you now have an attachment! My favorite quote goes something like this...treat a man as he is, and he will remain that way. But treat a man as you wish him to be and he will become that. I'm sure I messed up, but you get the point. Love you and your family!

  6. Great quote, Rachel, and so true. Many people would have broken under the challenges you've faced. Trying to keep a good attitude during the rough times is hard, but it sure is an inspiration to others when you can smile through the fight. We love you, Merry Christmas!!

  7. Merry Christmas, Rachel. I am so happy that you're at home with your family. This Christmas will be extra special I'm sure. Treasure all the memories.

I was reading some words from the prophets which said that we chose what we would go through in this life. Even more special than that, we covenanted with our families before we came here that we would be there for each other. How blessed you are to have such a wonderful family who sticks by you thru thick and thin.

May the love of God and His Son be in your hearts this season as you reach out to each other and those around you.
