Rachel, you don't know me but I saw your video clip on KSL. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, feelings, and courage with so many. You are amazing. I can only imagine that there are some extremely hard days but you seem to carry this challenge with grace and good humor. Fight on!
Rachel, I wanted to share with you a bit about my experience as a cancer survivor. I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphatic Leukemia at the age of 8. The outlook for my survival was slim at best. I battled chemo for five years dealing with all the side effects you are experiencing. After 2 years off of chemo I had the unfortunate relapse at the age of 14. I broke and was determined not to go through the horrible chemo again. After a long pep talk from my mother and supportive doctor, I changed my attitude and pushed forward. Today, at the age of 39, I am cancer free with a wife and 2 wonderful kids. I want you know that your positive and upbeat attitude toward life is what will continually push you forward. Keep up the fight and stay strong from one cancer survivor to a soon to be cancer survivor.
Rachel! Just watched this video and just wanted to say that you are incredible. Jessie and I are starstruck to know the famous, lovely, talented, and future volleyball legend! I can say to all of my future students, "Yeah, she was the presidente in MY classo del Sunday Schoolio!" Also, you could probably get a sponsorship because you model those awesome hats PERFECTLY. Keep up the fight! We love you Rachel!
You are amazing. Amazing. Having to find the courage and strength to just make it day to day. I am a nurse and I can tell you that the most influential thing you can do is have a positive attitude. It really helps the spirit survive while the body fights. Keep on keepin' on! -Sherri
Rachel- I am so inspired by your attitude. You are one incredible, strong and amazing person (and I dont even know you). My daughter, Cami was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia just a few months ago. We might have been in the hospital together! I can only pray she grows to be a brave, courageous, amazing, powerful young woman like you are. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Sending a HUGE sanitized hug your way! Chelsea Carver www.kissesforcami.com
I know you dont know me but a friend of a friend asked that I write you. I am happy to do so. I cant imagine what you are going through but in the few moments of getting to know you through this blog I am a better person. I have learned from your words how lucky I am and how loved we all are. Thanks for making me count my blessings and appreciate all I have. Know that even though I dont know you I am praying for your complete recovery and thanking our Heavenly Father for people like you in our lives. Thanks ! p.s. I think a puppy sounds like a great idea, at least a stuffed animal puppy.
