The Journey So Far

Today at church Rachel was able to give a talk to the young men and young women in the ward about her experiences over the past year and half. Thought I would post this video that she shared as part of her presentation:

It's crazy to think that so much time has passed since this has all started. Part of the video shows members of the Sunset Heights 2nd ward, and the surrounding area, who rallied to support Rachel and our family during this difficult time. We have been so blessed from all the prayers and support we have received.

  1. Thank you for sharing that. Rachel, you are still inspiring me to be better!

  2. We love you!

  3. Rachel you don't know me but I found your blog last week. SteeleStrong really caught my eye. My name is Jane Steele and I was dx with AML in November of 2010. Stay Strong Rachel, you're a beautiful young girl with so much life to live!!
    Take care,

  4. I should have visited your ward this week! The video made me cry... just love your guts, Rachel.

  5. Part of me is so crazy that I didn't want to watch this movie because I didn't want to "feel" those cancer emotions, but I'm so glad I did. It was beautifully done. I also really loved seeing pictures of Rachel pre-cancer with her long hair.

Rachel, we love you so much and we're so proud of all that you've accomplished.

  6. Rachel- You and your family are such an inspiration. Thank you. Although I am not dealing with cancer my health issues continue on and seeing all that you have overcome has blessed my life to be patient and remember to stay strong, not only physically but mentally and spiritually. You are a wonderful example and I gain strength from you! THANK YOU SO MUCH. You are all loved so much.

  7. Jorge- You're too cool for words.
